An interest free ‘Batool Shah Microfinance’ was set up in 2010 with a seed money of Rs.1.0 million. Loans from Rs.5,000/- to 20,000/- are offered to employees working in Rashidabad.  A form has to be filled in with details of the employee, reason for drawing the loan with signatures of two guarantors also from Rashidabad. The workers’ needs for a loan range from buying a bicycle to installing a hand pump at home. The loan has to be returned in ten equal installments.

Women completing 6 months of training at the DMKM vocational training centre are provided SALIKA sewing machines on easy installments.

Till December 2016 the number of beneficiaries stood at 486 with a total disbursement of Rs.4.7 Million with only two defaults.
